Green Faces is the triumphant single three time GRAMMY Winner, Caliph, made after he won his hard fought battle with the immigration system. Hailing from Senegal at the age of 6, Caliph was granted legal status through President Obama’s Dream Act. When his citizenship was jeopardized through President Trump’s attempt to ‘Ditch the Dreamers’, Caliph went to Capitol Hill to protest. When he ultimately got his papers he created Green Faces to symbolize both the victorious feeling of being granted legal status while expressing contempt for the Immigration system as a whole. In the artwork, Caliph uses the blankets given to children in Deportation Camps as a symbol for the immigration system in America.
