In "My Story," C. Joe-el tells of a harrowing experience of betrayal and spiritual entrapment by individuals in religious attire, referred to as "men in white garments," who try to force him into their evil ways. The song focuses on his struggle against those who speak ill of him to maintain control, masking their carnal intentions behind a holy facade.
