Not Sorry, is a culmination of signature sounds and nuanced undertakings, signaling a newly distilled approach from the Columbus native. Brady delves into a heightened level of romanticism, disdain and renewed celebration over pulsating synths, soul-imbued samples and melodic renderings. Songs like “Mine” and “No Regrets” showcase his songwriting ability and knack for magnetic hooks. And while introspective moments like “Weight” and “Belly” still circulate throughout the project’s tracklist, mainstream-driven records like “Copy and Paste” are evenly fused in the album to form a more well-rounded project. With the release of Not Sorry, Brady has established a sound distinctive to Ohio’s capital city. In time, he’s separated himself from his contemporaries.
