Chapter V is a 5 track EP which explores the open ended nature of love and it’s complexities, inspired by ‘the mystery girl’ protagonist in Songs of songs, who is very vocal about her desires, and her need to give love and receive love. The songs present love as a giver of emotions rather than an emotion in itself, this is felt through the genre choices floating between poetry, Neo- soul, RnB and Afro-fusion. The songs collectively tell a story of a not-so-perfect love story, being both beautiful and dangerous, highlighting being vulnerable and how that’s okay, viewing it as a strength and a weakness.
