Sun Blanket revisits a collection of songs written by Dan Pierce more than twenty years ago, reimagined through AI-assisted arrangements and production. Every lyric, melody and chord progression remains Dan's original work, with AI used only to explore new musical interpretations and sonic possibilities. George Moorey curated and refined multiple AI-generated versions, selecting those that best captured the character and emotion of the songs. Rather than replacing the originals, Sun Blanket offers a fresh perspective on timeless songwriting and forms part of an ongoing case study into how AI can support music production while keeping human creativity and artistic judgement at the heart of the process.
