Nobody tells you about the amount of grief adulthood comes with. I’ve had to mourn so many things that were once so important: relationships with friends, closeness with family, my own trauma and mistakes. A friend of mine pushed me to do some shadow work. I’ve been navigating through my tough emotions, crying, letting go. I’m trying to feel it all instead of bottling it up. I choose happiness. I this know comes with feeling all my emotions openly, but sometimes it’s still hard to cry.
