This track started with a backbeat, and it was written consecutively. I had some terrific guitar pieces using a fretboard slide. These parts were recorded with a look over the shoulder, as I needed to place them together with a strong theme that they had in common. The chord sequences were nice and progressive. That meant that I could add the lyrics. I felt like I had a real 12 bar blues track that I wanted to lay down. This is what I did, keeping the structure in place. I might have added or subtracted some bars, although the piece keeps the traditional staves in the right place.
