“MAC 10” is the third song on Alex Vince' second studio EP, “Tableau Vivant. It was previously released as the first single in anticipation for the project. This track is such a bop man, oh my goodness. I took forever to write it because I knew it had so much potential and by the time the final recording session came around I still had nothing. I ended up writing the first verse and the hook the night before and wrote the second verse during the session itself while Kaz was mixing another track. Needless to say it only took a few takes and was an immediate favorite. I was getting some serious speakeasy vibes from the beat, so I wrote it with the speakeasy scene from “The Great Gatsby” in mind. I wanted to have that 1920s bootlegger feel while maintaining modern themes.
