Al Maralen

Al Maralen is a hip hop artist from Columbia, Maryland. Growing up, Al was always a devoted writer and charismatic speaker. He prides his style on well-developed metaphors and refreshing lyricism that can relate to the average listener. “Al Maralen dives into his raps, cool and composed, riding beats just like waves. His flow hits at every point, acing it, with rhythms running to stay aligned with him instead,” wrote Eve of Upcoming Hip Hop on Al Maralen’s Take Two. Currently a student at the University of Maryland, Al travels back and forth between home and DC to dabble in the rich culture of the DC-Maryland-Virginia music scene. His first solo project, The Quirky Dapper Tape, showcased his life experiences. Growing from his first tape, his goal is to make rap his musical playground.
