circa 2017, i had an idea for a project titled “i’m alive.” i was one year away from graduating georgia tech and nearing the end of a personal metamorphosis. so much growth had taken place, both before and during that time, that it felt natural to capture those feelings, philosophies, and cycles of grief and rebirth in music. unfortunately, the project never materialized, but the drafts lived on and continued to provide me with comfort and a sense of calm through life’s tumult. i decided to release a handful of these demos (unmixed and unmastered) because i believe the ethos outweighs my need for audio perfectionism in this case. more recently, life has reminded me that some of the best things are far from perfect. please enjoy. love, bank$y
