“I Dey” is the regular response to “how are you?” in Nigeria. It’s the answer that masks the chaos that goes on in our heads. Ajeh (on God) because hope is what keeps us going. I’ve always wanted to tell that story in a song. The story of how we break down, cry, fail, lose, but keep going because we never run out of hope.
