Notes from Jane Doe is a story I wrote during the lockdown in 2020. Sonically, it's a mix of the laid-back atmosphere set on "More than Meets the Eye", and the aggressive one heard on "If you Read This". The verse chord progression was partly inspired by the popular classical piece, Canon. Hehe. Throughout its span, there's background voices expressing the protagonist's growing dementia. The first chorus comes in subtly before the heavy, melodic central riff comes in to increase the energy of the song. Expect nothing less than a properly delivered beautiful guitar solo after the second chorus, before the crux of the song comes in. The lyrics of this song speak on obsession, loving someone who doesn't even recognize you to the point of damaging oneself. Enjoy
