We went to a remote location on Lopez Island in Washington where we slept in canvas tents and huddled around wood fires at night. During the day we focused purely on music and the celebration of each other, working tirelessly on every aspect of the album. We didn’t want any ideas from the past to affect us, or any goals for the future to interfere with our creation. Each track was a blank canvas, and with nothing but the wilderness of northern Washington surrounding us, the only paint at our disposal was our minds, bodies, and emotions.
