Love is at the center of everything Guchi does. It’s her biggest influence—inspired by the relationship of her parents—and her biggest message to listeners: “Learn to love yourself. Learn to love people.” That self-love has manifested itself into a pivotal spot in Nigeria’s thriving Afropop scene.

After breaking out with the viral smash “Jennifer” in 2021, Guchi has kept her foot on the gas with her second EP (Purple Diary) and a string of notable singles and collaborations (“Benzema,” “Scatter My Head” with Zlatan, “I Swear” with Yemi Alade).

Her most recent release, the two-track pack of “All Over You” and “Mon Bébé,” are a perfect encapsulation of her vibrant, romantic style. “I’ve always believed in myself,” Guchi tells Audiomack. “There are definitely a lot of challenges, but I’m still singing.”
