Sainvil— “On My Own” feat. BEAM

Miami-born R&B artist Sainvil feels what we all feel: 2020 Was Hijacked. The Alamo Records artist spent his quarantine learning to navigate a “mad, bad world,” and has since come out with a slew of singles reflecting a change in his sound—something closer to the stylings of Philly producer collective Working On Dying, and further from the R&B croons that made him.

An artist in search of healing, Sainvil taps Kingston-born and Miami-based BEAM for his most raucous single yet, “On My Own.” Wall-scaling vocal runs mark the Judge-produced track. BEAM’s feature boasts his signature flair, while the subtle trilling Sainvil employs gives “On My Own” an otherworldly texture. As far as ex-loverboy anthems go, “On My Own” shines as a fuck-them-all serenade for all the scarred listeners finding their footing in romance.

“Being a person who had to leave home to chase my dreams, moving city to city alone can feel lonely and finding your tribe away from home is tricky,” Sainvil tells Audiomack. “This song is about staying focused through it all.”
