What's up next in culture is up now on Audiomack. Which is why we're proud to announce the launch #UpNow, our new emerging artist program dedicated to spotlighting and promoting the next generation of global music superstars.
Each quarter, Audiomack will be handpicking a minimum of three artists across all genres to provide them with specialized marketing, editorial programming, social promotion, playlisting, custom videos, and experiential events.
Our first #UpNow artist is St. Petersburg, Florida native and Alamo Records signee Rod Wave. The singer and rapper has, to date, amassed over 350 million streams on Audiomack, turning his ability to craft emotional trap ballads into a rabid fanbase. Over the past six months, Rod Wave has been one of the top five most-searched artists on Audiomack. His latest album, Pray 4 Love, released on April 3, 2020, is currently the most-streamed album on the platform, while its songs have already generated over 36 million streams. Recent projects Ghetto Gospel and PTSD have topped 160 million streams and 90 million streams, respectively.
“Coming from where I come from, we don’t take support for granted," Rod Wave told Audiomack in response to his selection for #UpNow. "Audiomack has been helping me get my music out there from the very beginning before people really knew who I was. Continuing to work together with them is part of staying true to my core fans as I take the next step of the journey.”
Rod Wave is the first artist featured on the cover of our new #UpNow playlist, which highlights the latest songs from artists who are next up to impact global music culture.
