P-Nut deh Real Nut — “ZaZa”

St. Croix’s P-Nut deh Real Nut, also known as PNDRN, blends his island roots with hip-hop and drill to create what he’s dubbed “Carib Drill.” Fully focusing on music in 2020, his “I Feel Like The Goat” track was released as both a primer on P-Nut’s mission statement, as well as his sound. Hoping to be a beacon for other young artists in the Virgin Islands, P-Nut takes pride in his accent, flows, and raw appeal, releasing the The Return Ah PAC EP in January and securing his status as a hometown hero.

ZaZa,” PAC’s standout, has all the markings of a hit record: sticky melodies, grimy quotables, and unmatched personality. P-Nut’s raps touch on his trying upbringing, busting guns, and his hustle-first mentality. The gentle flurry of ad-libs on the second verse only add to his irresistible character, to the point where the final hook’s hopes for success feel more than attainable.

“‘ZaZa’ comes from smoking the best and living life to the fullest,” P-Nut tells Audiomack.
