Fireboy DML — Playboy
Nigerian Hometown Hero Fireboy DML was one of the 10 most-streamed artists on Audiomack last year. His global hit “Peru” dominated the airwaves in Africa and beyond as the viral single received a remix with Ed Sheeran and inserted its catchy hook into every club, car speaker, and dance video of 2021. Singles “Playboy” and “Bandana” with Asake have continued that momentum. On Playboy, Fireboy continues to build his legacy as a global star, while Chris Brown, Rema, Shenseea, and more lend guest features across the album’s 14 tracks.
Pigeons & Planes — See You Next Year
“This isn’t a rap album, or an indie album, or a pop album,” Pigeons & Planes shares of See You Next Year. “It’s a little bit of everything, sometimes all at once.” Executive produced by Mike Dean, the compilation project from the music discovery juggernaut spotlights a hand-picked class of sound-bending stars on the rise. Teezo Touchdown, Fana Hues, redveil, BAIRD, and more offer their take on the future of music and ensure a promising, genreless world for indie fans from every corner of the internet.

ELIO — ELIO'S INFERNO
A fixture in the Toronto indie scene, ELIO’s music optimizes the best elements of early 2000s pop and superimposes them with a futurist twist. Early projects like last year’s vibrant Can You Hear Me Now? and 2020’s u and me, but mostly me made her an Audiomack favorite. In protest of being “typecast” by the industry, ELIO’S INFERNO drifts away from her notable electropop sound and flirts with a more jovial approach across 10 high-spirited tunes.
SANNI — INTO THE RED ZONE
Music comes easy for the LA-based Houston native SANNI. He says so on the opening song of his latest album, INTO THE RED ZONE—the follow-up to last year’s If You Don’t Understand It’s Ok. Brightly colored highlights like “Who’s Loving You” and “Bling Up” illustrate SANNI at his best, creating alluring, poppy R&B records while “Black Diamonds” grounds the multifaceted artist’s head-over-heels energy.

Baani Sandhu — The Boss Lady
Punjabi superstar Baani Sandhu’s highly anticipated debut album was slated for release two years ago. A global pandemic and the tragic loss of Punjab legend Sidhu Moose Wala halted the project as Baani took a step back to focus on healing. This makes the arrival of The Boss Lady all the more rewarding. A 10-track adventure featuring frequent collaborator Gur Sidhu, the “Bell Bottom” singer explores themes of romance and heartbreak with an ample amount of Bhangra bounce to keep us dancing.
