British–Nigerian Moelogo has spent the last near-decade honing a signature Afrobeats sound. Born in Lagos, moving to London, pursuing choir in his teens, and releasing his debut EP in 2013, it reads as if music was the only way forward for the artist. Consistently nominated for awards, Moelogo’s collaborations with Davido, Adekunle Gold, Sarkodie, and more have yielded breakout singles and must-hear deep cuts.
“Who Talk,” a standout from Moelogo’s Itheep project, continues the spirit of collaboration with features from Adekunle Gold and Ria Sean. The trio’s chemistry drives the bouncy tune. Each artist adds a crucial layer of emotion and celebration to the single—all over strutting guitar notes. “Who Talk” is a nicely summery offering with an easy-to-support message of self-love.
“This is a song that signifies empowerment,” Moelogo tells Audiomack World. “‘Who Talk’ is a carefree and feel-good song that empowers creatives or people that don’t operate in a conventional manner so that they can still be who they want to be, without everyone liking them and still prosper.”
