Listen to Louis Futon’s Hip-Hop Inspired Remixes

By Donna-Claire Chesman on

Philly’s own Louis Futon is carving his own lane in electronic music by venturing into the world of hip-hop and R&B.

Hailing from Philadelphia, electronic artist Louis Futon’s remixes have helped him carve out his own lane in electronic music. After a successful tour with ODESZA, Futon is selling out his own shows and continuing his remix hot streak by venturing into hip-hop and R&B. The success shouldn’t be surprising considering the amount of vibrancy and personality Futon adds to all of his remixes.

Louis Futon’s dreamy flip of Chance The Rapper’s “Blessings” ups the soul of the track, while his remix of Frank Ocean’s “Solo” emphasizes and innovates upon Ocean’s original use of vocal pitching. His rework of Tyler The Creator’s “See You Again” is a fan favorite, and Futon remixes the track on the spot with fellow artist GRiZ.
