Oh boy, it’s a hell of a link-up. Ghana’s Kwesi Arthur and Medikal come together for the menacing “DIFFERENT.” They’re doing whatever they want over a nasty beat from Shadxw. The song doesn’t touch two minutes, and the zooming flows from both rappers gives the sensation of being in the eye of a mighty storm.

Since 2017’s “Grind Day,” Kwesi Arthur has been a mainstay in Ghana’s hip-hop scene. While he apologizes for the wait for his upcoming full-length tape, “DIFFERENT” is a strong entry in Ghana’s rap canon. It plays like a promise from Kwesi to fans: he will be here for a long time.

“This song is about being different, thinking different and not conforming to everything else,” Kwesi Arthur tells Audiomack World.
