Big Bratt — “Cuttin Up”

Chattanooga native Big Bratt has an unstoppable charisma, which makes every single a mesmerizing downpour of bars and energy. Breaking out in 2020 with “Rich Rollxn,” the 10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now alum sounds fit for a coronation, whether she’s trading bars with Birmingham’s Li Heat on “Trap Traffic” or attacking the mic solo.

Cuttin Up” is the third in a series of post-“Trap Traffic” singles, following “Paid In Full” and “First Class.” Produced by Bankroll Got It and Hollo, “Cuttin Up” sounds like Big Bratt leaving the other rappers in her class in the dust. She demolishes the trap production on the hook with plodding delivery, but the real treat is the way she zooms over the drums on the verses.

“‘Cuttin Up’ was inspired from real life club experience with boys and girls,” Bigg Bratt tells Audiomack. “The song is basically saying you gotta watch your boyfriend when me and my girls are out. And Bankroll Got It killed the beat. Whenever you hear the tag you automatically know what it is!”
