Aitch — “GSD”

Manchester rapper Aitch’s boastful nature makes for some of the best party jams coming out of the UK. His first solo single of 2021, “Learning Curve,” was one of the best UK rap tracks of June and followed his 2020 AJ Tracey collab “Rain” as a catalog standout. No stranger to going viral, Aitch first broke through with single “Straight Rhymez,” and has gone on to be nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 Brit Awards.

GSD” follows “Learning Curve” and features an alien beat from LiTek, Chekz, and WhyJay. Aitch floats atop accents reminiscent of the best parts of a shroom trip. Much like “Learning Curve,” “GSD” is flippant and smirking, and paints Aitch as the don of Manchester. And yet, there are moments of introspection and anxiety to close the track, a reminder of the many dimensions of the young artist.
