“I’ve been in go-go bands since the 10th grade,” Taylo says. An eclectic artist from the DMV who grew up playing a number of percussion instruments, Taylo has been interested in music since he was a youngster.
Music, however, wasn’t his first choice. “That was always my Plan B -- to be an artist or producer if my Plan A failed,” he says. His “Plan A” was to play professional football. Ultimately, lackluster grades in college, a stint in jail, and the birth of his son meant a change in course.
With this downpour of defining moments, Taylo decided to focus solely on a career in music. He says, “Being in the studio creating, for me it’s a release.” When it comes to production, Taylo does it all – hip-hop/rap, R&B, gospel and pop. “The rapping comes from the creativity with producing.
