A writer of R&B, Rap & Hip-Hop music, Shemar "NoVa" Brown was born in Mandeville, Manchester Jamaica. He was raised in a small community in South Manchester by his mother and grandmother, around his extended family. NoVa has transitioned from basic to high school and is now at The University of Technology, where he is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Urban & Regional Planning. Shemar began exploring music in his early days at Manchester High School, writing jingles and remixes for popular rap songs. NoVa appeared in a number of interviews and stage performances where he performed as an artist on The "Pass The Mic" School Tour. In his first few months of university, Shemar decided to take music more seriously, officially adopting the alias "NoVa".
