IN 1975, America had a #1 hit with, “Sister Golden Hair” and it’s been a favorite of mine ever since. I had mentioned to my son/favorite percussionist, Sam, how it would be cool to record the song with a twist by using horns, and that’s exactly what we did! Recorded in Nashville at Catch This Music Recording Studio, I’m proud to say that this was another family affair with Sam on drums, and my youngest, Noah, on trombone, along with these other extremely talented musicians: Max Dvorin/sax, Jacob Haymens/trumpet, Josh Ashley/keyboards, Mitch Predella/guitar, Michael Meadows/bass, Lana Boleyjack /BGV, and Madison Skinner/BGV, who, like Sam, are graduates or students at Belmont University, majoring in their instrument.
