2014 HNHH HeatSeeker's Winner Vonte Raekwon is an emerging Virginia artist whose great-great-grandfather happens to be internationally renowned Blues singer/songwriter Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup. One of seven children, he began writing at a young age, specifically when his parents moved the family from Hampton, VA to Memphis, TN in 2004. He hasn't been far from his pen and pad since. His time in Memphis allowed him to better understand and appreciate the origins of hip-hop and R&B, as well as develop a deep appreciation for Crudup's music and all he underwent during his musical career. Vonte returned to Virginia in 2007 and was reborn as an artist in the summer of 2013, drawing attention from his first three official singles "Déjà Vu", "Last Flight To Thug Mansion" & "New Rules".
