Singer-songwriter The ELLE isn't quite your average sweet-sounding songstress. At the age of 8, she began using various forms of creative writing as an emotional outlet which rooted her ability to express herself through poetry and lyrics. Though she wrote her first song at age 13 and grew up singing and reciting poetry in school talent shows and choir concerts, it wasn't until 2011 that she began pursuing music seriously. The ELLE fuses her influences of classic soul, 90s R&B and golden era hip-hop to create a truly authentic sound. Her creative spin on songwriting aids in transcending her music beyond the confines of contemporary r&b/soul music.
