That beginning for Patrick Toussaint was at Walt Whitman Junior High School in Brooklyn, New York, where he was the first to sign up for every talent show that the school hosted. From a young age, those close to him knew that Toussaint was destined for the spotlight, and it became increasingly obvious that he had a dexterity with words beyond the average highschooler. Toussaint began writing his first rhymes in high school, but as he matured, so did his vision for his future. In an interview Toussaint recently stated “Y’all should be afraid of what I’m gonna do next. I’m not just a business man, I’m a brand,” and with a flair for fashion reminiscent of Kanye’s early boldness, Toussaint is certainly shaping up to be a new tastemaker of not just music, but all things pop culture.
