Notes, born Kendell Lamont Hutchinson on December 9, 1982, hails from the East New York section of Brooklyn. Growing up in the Linden Houses music would paved the way for Notes to experience the true reality of what the streets main purpose was and how he could escape the harsh reality of the streets. His earlier influences in music were from his Saturday morning clean up routine around the house with his mother Denise Hutchinson who play vinyl records by music icons such as Smokey Robinson, The Commodores, Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye etc. That soulful sound of music as a young kid gave Notes the inspiration to be a great writer some day. Other genre’s that influenced Notes was Hip-Hop, Rock & Roll, Gospel & Neo Soul.
Hailing from Queens, New York, X-YLE has been influenced by artists such as DMX, Nas, and many more. He is an artist and a man who believes in the unity of his community through the power of music. His songs often reflect those of having a good time by enjoying life and the things surrounding you no matter the circumstance you are in.
