I began playing songs on my parents’ upright piano before I could reach the keys on my own, but I didn’t happen to pick up the ukulele until I was 20 years old, when I needed an instrument small enough to fit into my suitcase to bring to Africa for a semester abroad in college. I adore both instruments, but my voice will always be my favorite. I describe my music as “NeoSoulPop," which combines catchy rhythms and hooks with introspectively driven lyrics. While all of my songs stem from personal experiences, they also tend to illuminate emotions that people from all walks of life can relate to. I currently live in New Orleans, LA where I am excited and inspired to play, write, and perform as much as possible, whether it is in a professional venue or on the streets of the French Quarter.
