Linda Ngcobo (born May 3, 1982), better known by his stage name, Masta-Li, is a South African Hip Hop Artist, Song Writer, Singer and Record Producer and CEO of Masta-Li Grind Entertainment. Masta-Li started writing rhymes at the age of 16, with big influences from listening to Mason “Mase” Betha, Sean “P Diddy” Colms and others. Eventually, he got the courage and rapped his rhymes on his first demo at the University of KZN with 3 friends that were doing their musical careers there.
He then met Skandalas from C-Elements, also a rapper and record producer, and briefly associated with the group on a number of collaborations and performances. Masta-Li also attended Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, Durban, South Africa, and qualified as a medical doctor in 2005.
