Sandy Truss is a product of Putnam Park located in Toledo, Ohio. Although, surrounded by the typical nuances of an urban street environment, he learned early on how to embrace different cultures as a biracial American of African and Japanese decent. Raised in the streets of Toledo by his grandmother, often referred to as Obachan in Japanese, he forged an identity of his own. Consumed by his love for music, he followed his dream and purchased a one-way ticket to New York City. His self-titled, self-produced album chronicles his journey of passion, reflection and transition.
