Raised on the notoriously rough block of 56th and Malcolm, Philadelphia native Blac Papi has set out to become the voice of the city. Dropping out of Delaware State after a semester, Papi returned to Philly, only to run into trouble with the law. Blac Papi spent a few years in prison, finally coming home for good December 8, 2016.
Though his decision to do music in early 2017 was met with doubt from haters, Papi has put his all into his developing his skill and has quickly become one of the most accomplished new acts in the city.
Blac Papi set out to prove his unmatched work ethic, firing off his debut project, ‘Twelve,’ joining Cam’ron on “The Program Tour,” and opening up for 21 Savage, Jeezy, Trina, and 2 Chainz on various dates.
