Rapper Big Baz was born Basil Osabu on November 26th in Accra, Ghana. He came to the United States in the mid 80's at the age of 3 and settled with his family right in the heart of Harlem. Due to his chubby stature, he was nicknamed Big Baz by a few people who lived in his neighborhood.
Throughout his childhood, Basil enjoyed listening to rap music crediting Biggie Smalls, Sade, Jay Z, Nas and KRS One, as some of his biggest influences.It wasn’t until he attended A.
