album Description:

"The Oblivion" is a 13-track album that posses strong thematic ties to the 1999 film "The Matrix." The album plays on the idea that "divide & rule" in society, often forces people to make conflicted choices as they rise to the occasion. The division of choice (blue pill vs red pill) represents the conscious aspects of hip-hip intertwined with a constant internal battle of vanity. "The Oblivion" album cover depicts a lady (representing Africa) covered in oil, the black gold of her nation; she is clearly out of focus, suggesting an unknown state of being. Her hands, however, are suggestive of America, where decisions are made (Coke vs Pepsi) with very little significance between options and end result.
